More than 1,300 forensically unique stamps - intended to make forgery impossible - were produced for my 2016 participatory performance Proof of Contact. Out of that printing process came 10 sheets of printing anomalies, which were voided from use, but which became their own unique series. Again the VOID stamp is used as a unique pattern, but must touch each individual stamp. For me, these works represent encounters with people that are, in one way or another, prohibited from taking place.
